Fir against Vijay thalapati fir hurting muslims sentiments at iftar events
Tamil actor-turned-politician Vijay, also known as Thalapathy, finds himself at the centre of a controversy after a police complaint was filed against him in Chennai for allegedly insulting the Muslim community during an Iftar event. The complaint was lodged by the Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamaat at the Chennai Police Commissioner's office, demanding legal action against Vijay for allegedly offending religious sentiments.
According to reports, the complaint was filed by Tamil Nadu Sunnat Jamaat's state treasurer Syed Ghous. Addressing the media later, Ghous alleged that Vijay's Iftar event was offensive and hurtful to the Muslim community. He claimed that individuals who have no connection to fasting or Islamic practices, including "drunkards and rowdies", were present at the event, which he said amounted to an insult to the sanctity of Iftar.
